  • Parents' Evening and Pantomime

    Thu 10 Nov 2016

Parents' Evening for all classes from Reception to Year 6 will take place on Tuesday 22nd November - the slip to arrange an appointment was sent home with the children tonight. Please try to return the slip early to increase your chances of getting your appointment at the desired time.

If for any reason you are unable to make the 22nd and wish to make alternative arrangements, please let your child's class teacher know, either through a quick note on the slip or on the yard as children are being collected. From the teacher's point of view, this first Parents' Evening is a great way to just check in and make sure things are running as smoothly as possible to allow the children to make good progress throughout the year so we hope to see you all, even if it's just for a short chat.

Permission slips for the pantomime were attached also; we will be taking the children to see Cinderella at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday 29th November. I'm sure the children will be really looking forward to it, as usual!

  • Y6 Crazy Golf

Thu 10 Nov 2016 Mr. Lawson

Year 6 enjoyed playing a few rounds of crazy golf in the hall today; some of the shots they played were actually very, very good! They look forward to developing their skills even further in the coming weeks...

  • Y5 Newcastle Univeristy

Tue 08 Nov 2016 Miss Donnelly

We had visitors from Newcastle University recently, working with Year 5 to complete a virtual tour of the University campus, help the children to think about their own future careers and discover how continuing their education can help them reach their aspirations.

We are pleased to be able to work closely with Newcastle University to help all of the children in school realise that there are lots of job options open to them if they are willing to work hard and acknowledge their personal strengths to find something they enjoy doing.

  • Breakfast Club Drop-Off

Sun 06 Nov 2016 Mr. Lawson

A polite reminder for parents who use our free Breakfast Club:

The Breakfast Club starts at 8am. Although there are staff in the school building before then, we are unable to take responsibility for the supervision of children before this time. For the welfare of your child, please stay with them until you are happy they have been handed over safely to an adult.

We understand many parents drop children off before heading to work but we do not have the means to offer an even earlier start time and, as ever, the safety and wellbeing of the children has to be our first priority.

Breakfast Club runs daily, with cereals and fresh fruit provided, as well as a range of different activities to ensure children are ready to make the best possible start to the school day.
