  • Year 1 Pizza Express Visit

    Year 1 had lots of fun yesterday visiting Pizza Express. They got the opportunity to become Chefs for the day, test out some pizza toppings and make their own delicious pizzas to take home!
  • 'That History Bloke' visits Year 5 & 6

    Year 5 & 6 were given a masterclass this week when they were visited by 'That History Bloke!' Both classes took part in immersive workshops bringing The Ancient Egyptians and World War II to life. Year 5 enjoyed preparing and mummifying a pharoah whilst Year 6 explored the sacrifices and challenges made by all involved in the Second World War. 
  • Whole School Skipping

    All classes from Reception to Year 6 got the opportunity to take part in a skipping workshop with Chris yesterday. They were shown different skipping techniques, how to skip as a group and how to play games involving skipping on the yard. The day ended with a 'skipping showcase' assembly where children were able to demonstrate the skills they had learned across the day.

    Thank you to all of the Reception Class parents and carers who came along to our Stay & Play session on Tuesday. The children loved showing off their classroom and showing everyone what they have been doing in their first half term.
  • The Eagles Basketball Players Visit Caedmon

    The Eagles visited Year 5 & 6 with their 'Hoops 4 Health' roadshow on Tuesday this week. During the workshop children took part in a range of activities that focused on: mental and social well-being, how to stay fit and look after the heart and lungs and they had the opportunity to play a game of basketball. The children had lots of fun and thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon!
  • Year 5 Visit Great North Museum

    Year 5 visited the Great North Museum in Newcastle as part of their history studies of ancient Egypt. To help us learn about Mummification, we took part in a workshop looking at photographs, x-rays and reconstructions of 2 real life mummies dating back over 3000 years. We enjoyed exploring the Ancient Egypt exhibit and even took a journey into the afterlife! 
  • RWI Parent Workshops

    Wed 02 Oct 2019 Mrs Clennell

    Thank you to all of the reception class parents who attended the Read Write Inc. workshop this morning. The children loved having the opportunity to work alongside their carers and show off their reading and writing skills.
