School Reopening - September 2020
Thu 16 Jul 2020Dear Parent / Carer,
I would like to start by letting you know that myself and the staff wish you and your families well and have been able to keep safe during this challenging period of time. School has not been able to operate as we normally do at the centre of our community working in partnership with parents and supporting each other. There is nothing we would have liked more than to reopen our gates to all of our pupils, parents and community.
The Government have given school a clear message to reopen for all children in September, which we are very much looking forward to. We do need to put plans in place to ensure this is done in a safe manner.
To assist transition for children returning to school. They will start in September in their current class with their current teacher and teaching assistant. They will complete a week in that class before moving up to their new class on Monday 14th September. The new Reception Class will have a delayed start of Monday 14th September to enable this transition to take place.
We will need to continue to have a staggered start and end to the school day to aid with social distancing. Classes will operate as bubbles and will be kept separate from other bubbles in school as much as possible.

Unfortunately due to operating a staggered start and finish, we are unable to offer breakfast club and after school clubs in the first instance. Children will be offered a grab and go breakfast in the classroom when they arrive in school at their allocated time. We will look to re-introduce the clubs as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.
If parents are going to be using external providers for before and/or after school provision, including child minders, can you please let the school office know so we can liaise with them regarding plans.
Please see attached a return to school plan with some basic information about the plans for September. If you need any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact school.
Thank you for all the communication and kind messages throughout the lockdown period. I have seen many of you within the community over the last 4 months. I am looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you when we return in September. Take care and stay safe.

Final resource pack
Fri 03 Jul 2020**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
As we near the end of this academic year (and what a strange one it has been) we will be providing all children with one final pack of resources and activities. The pack will include
- School Report
- Information about September
- Letter from current class teacher and new class teacher
- Educational Workbook
- Creative Resources
- A small gift from everyone at Caedmon
We will be handing out packs to families between 9.15am and 12pm each day as follows:-
- Surnames A-G Tuesday
- Surnames H-M Wednesday
- Surnames N-Z Thursday
Children are welcome to come along for the collection. The teachers will be there to hand out the packs for their class. We would love to see you before we finish for the summer holidays.
There will be a one way system in place to adhere to social distancing. Please enter via the pedestrian gate (Gate A) and leave via the car park gate.
