Welcome to Home Learning
Hi Year 4.
You've had your home learning packs and hopefully you're ready for going to school, at home!
It's going to feel very weird to begin with - as it has been for me, recording lessons without you in the class. Although it has been a lot quieter...
Seriously though, you will get used to this way of working, and the recorded lessons should help you in Maths and English - and you should all have log-ins for Spelling Frame, MyMaths and TT Rockstars.
If you have any problems, or are unsure about anything, please get in touch on the email below and I'll do my very best to help.
Please also email me your work - Maths, English, Science, Geography, Art... it doesn't matter - it may make it's way onto the website. We can still be awesome!

Work hard and stay safe - and hopefully I'll see you all soon

Home Learning Raffle
Don't forget - for every piece of work you send in, you'll get a special raffle ticket. You could have the chance of having 20 tickets in the draw. Each Friday, a draw will be made for the week before - so tomorrow it will be for last week (Week 3). The class winner will receive a giant chocolate bar, and an overall winner will be drawn - this person will win an awesome prize from Mr Wisby's treasure chest.
Handwriting (21.1.21)
Today's handwriting lesson hasn't been recorded, but you can still practise the letter 'd' using the image below.
Good morning Year 4, I hope all is well with you all. I just want to say thank you to those of you who are sending in work - it's great to see that you are engaging with the work.
I have re-recorded the clips of Arthur and the Golden Rope, so it would be good to watch them before today's English lesson. Alternatively, you can watch the whole thing on YouTube: just type in Arthur and the Golden Rope - Animated Story Sound Effects
Have a great day

Times Tables
Before your main maths lesson, practise saying your times tables - like we do in class. Practise two or three every day by chanting them. I have included these videos to help you. Remember: practice makes perfect!
English Lesson 11.1.21 - Arthur and the golden Rope
Before you start the lesson, make sure you watch the videos, to recap the story. Also, don't forget to pause the lesson if you need to, and answer each section as the lesson progresses.
English Lesson (8.1.21)
Hi Year 4 - just realised I have made a bit of a mistake in my last slide - I coloured the expanded noun phrases in purple instead of red. Here is the slide with my corrected mistake. Don't forget, you can magpie my paragraph - just change some of the words.
