  • Year 5 Eagles Hoops for Health Tournament

    Year 5 visited the Eagles arena to compete in the Hoops 4 Health Tournament on Friday 14th February. A huge well done to everyone who took part! Caedmon were represented fantastically and everyone should be extremely proud of the effort, attitude and enthusiasm on display. Well done Year 5!

  • Year 3 meet Roman times!

    Year 3 have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Romans this half term. We have prepared for a Roman battle by making shields in the style of a soldier.
    We were lucky enough to be joined by 'That History Bloke' who not only showed us lots of Roman things but inspired us to do further research.
    We have also explored the Great North Museum investigating artefact and historical information.
  • Year 4's trip to the Baltic

    Year 4 visited The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead to learn about and discuss the paintings of Joy Labinjo, a 24 year old artist who trained at Newcastle University. During the visit, the class also visited The Knife Angel statue which looks over the city of Newcastle. The children discussed the themes surrounding the sculpture and its importance. The children had some fantastic and sensible responses to the sculpture; well done Year 4!
  • Caring for Canines - Dogs Trust visit

    This week, we enjoyed a visit from Katy from the Dogs Trust who gave a whole school assembly and special workshops for each class. The aim of the visit was to teach the children how to be safe and responsible around dogs and how to care for them. The children also learned about the commitment of having a dog and how to improve the welfare of dogs.
  • Celebrating 100% Attendance

    This week marked our first week of celebrating children who have achieved 100% attendance for the week. Each child with 100% attendance was entered into a prize draw, with two lucky children from each class being chosen at random to have afternoon tea with Mr Wisby. One lucky winner also won a fantastic goodie prize. Well done to everyone who achieved 100% attendance this week and good luck to all of the 100% attenders next week!
