  • Elmer's Great North Parade

    Fri 29 Mar 2019

Excitement has been building around school this week as mysterious clues have been appearing in classrooms and corridors. Elephant footprints, rhymes, coloured-coordinated letter clues and patchwork question marks have led children to question what it might mean.

All was revealed in an assembly on Friday when children were told they would be working together to create an Elmer in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice. Children will be designing, fundraising, painting, decorating and publicising their work over the next few months. The final design will be on display over the summer months before it settles in its final home at Caedmon Primary School. Watch this space as the project unfolds…

  • Willmott Dixon Visit for STEM Week

Tue 05 Mar 2019 Mr Warren
Thank you to Wilmott Dixon for a fantastic STEM week last week. All of the children from Nursery to Year 6 were given the opportunity to take part in some fantastic workshops exploring different types of housing, using bricks and cement to complete a construction challenge, connecting circuits to power an engine and using teamwork and construction skills to build a giant pyramid that almost touched the ceiling in the school hall! It was an excellent opportunity for our children  and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.  We would like to thank everyone at Wilmott Dixon for their help and support in delivering what was a memorable week for all of the children.
