Keep up to date with the latest news in school here.
On Wednesday, our early years welcomed families into school to complete some spooky Halloween activities. It was lovely chatting and interacting with our families and allowing families to see our wonderful early years space. We are so proud of our children and the successes we have seen this half term and it was lovely to celebrate this with parents and carers.
In Reception, we have been discussing the seasons of the year. After our discussion, we decided to go on an Autumn walk around big school! We found so many leaves of different colours and sizes and we even found some little pinecones!
Another lovely week in Reception, we hope everyone has a lovely half term.
In Year 3 our topic for PE for this half term is gymnastics. We have been working on balances using 1, 2, 3 & 4 parts of our bodies. We focused on our breathing, having a strong core and straight legs with pointed feet. We got extremely creative with our balances, get ready to be impressed.
In Year 1, our children have been focusing on the topic 'materials' in Science this half term. In previous lessons, we had been discussing different materials and their different properties.
We had such a fun lesson yesterday, building a house that was strong enough for The Three Little Pigs to live in. We experimented with wooden sticks, pipe cleaners, plastic straw and Lego to see which one was the strongest. The Big Bad Wolf huffed, and he puffed but he did not manage to knock our Lego houses down!
