  • Shipley Centenary

Wed 18 Oct 2017 Mr. Lawson

Year 6 were thrilled to see the final results of their ceramics project on display at the Shipley Art Gallery today as part of the gallery's centenary celebrations.

The pieces will remain on display over half term in gallery E and are well worth a visit if you're looking for a great (free) local activity.

Huge thanks from the children to our local artist, Christine Constant, and the staff at the Shipley for all of their support over the last few weeks. Everyone seemed very proud of their contribution and with the ceramic tiles they'd made that they could take home as a memento.

  • Football League - Latest Results

Thu 12 Oct 2017 Mr. Lawson

We had a fantastic 3 - 0 away win for the football team tonight at White Mere. Impressive attacking football was served up to a large crowd as the boys proved too much for the opposition. Goals came for Leo, Ridwan (Justin Kluivert) and Devrim, often after fantastic build up play.

The team were no doubt spurred on by the presence of their lucky mascot, 'Mr. Wisby', pictured below basking in their reflected glory.

The final round of autumn fixtures will be held next week at South Street.

  • Year 4 Visit Jarrow Hall

Tue 10 Oct 2017 Mr Gray
Year 4 visited Jarrow Hall an Anglo-Saxon village. We learned about farming and different food that Anglo-Saxons ate and farmed. Also we explored a real life village and built a fire! Then we learned about crime and punishment and discovered that it is not necessarily based on facts but who believes who more! Finally we ended the day looking at Anglo-Saxon weapons and items you would use in battle and we recreated a battle between the Vikings and the Anglo-Saxons.
