  • Year 6 Visit SafetyWorks

    Year 6 enjoyed their visit to SafetyWorks in Newcastle, learning how to stay safe in a variety of different situations at home and while out and about. Some of them even got to try a pair of handcuffs on for size... all for fun, of course!
  • Caedmon Cheer The Eagles to Victory!

    A crowd of over 2500 Eagles fans were treated to 2 performances by the fantastic Caedmon Cheerleaders on Friday night. The girls from KS2 jumped, cheered and danced like professionals for the crowd during the Newcastle Eagles victory over the Sheffield Sharks at Northumbria University’s Sport Central. A massive well done to all of the girls involved and to Miss Rogers for all of her hard work for a fantastic performance!

  • Science Day

    On Friday last week, we collaborated with Newcastle University and their outreach programme. 2 graduate students from the University, one a zoologist and another scientist, came to run 4 different workshops throughout KS2.

    The children looked at all 4 STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and were introduced to experiments and work that they could take up in the future.

    It was a very successful day and the outreach programme have been in touch describing the children as excellent scientists!

  • Kathakali Experience

    On Thursday Year 3 were visited by Indian performers to experience Kathakali. Kathakali is an ancient style of theatre, that combines rhythmic drumming, singers, skilled make-up artists and sign language. Year 3 were given a brief workshop into some of the routines, singing and drumming. Later that day, Year 3 saw an exclusive live performance of Kathakali based around an ancient version of Snow White at Caedmon Hall. They had great fun, although the drumming was very loud!

  • Halloween Disco Fun

    Earlier this week we held a fundraising Halloween Disco for the children from Reception to Year 6.

    All of the children had lots of fun and we managed to raise £250 towards our playground fund.
