Our School Council had a very important visitor today. They got to meet our Gateshead Local MP, Ian Mearns.
Ian was here to help teach the children about Parliamentary procedure. As he performs a similar job to them in helping improve the area and being elected into the role.
Ian took part in a question and answer session with the children and fielded some very important questions such as 'What is your greatest achievement?', 'Why did you become and MP?', 'What have you been involved in to improve Gateshead?' and 'Do you read Harry Potter?'
It's nearly here....
Our end of year performance, 'High School Musical', is being held at Caedmon Hall, Gateshead Library.
The cast is made up of children from Key Stage 2 supported by a chorus from Year 5 and 6.
Tickets will go on sale early next week - pop into the school office if you would like to purchase any.

On Friday 16th June, Year 2 took out their putters, drivers and pitching wedges as they visited Cardinal Hume Catholic School to take part in a Tri Golf Festival. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed their first experience of golf and enjoyed lots of different challenges and games. All of the children showed a fantastic attitude and cheered one another long! Well done Year 2!
Last week, all of the Nursery children were excited as their mums and dads were invited in to take part in the sessions.
The children were able to show their parents the fun activities they do and how well they are learning new skills.
Everyone had lots of fun!
