  • Sports Relief Friday 28th March

    We are celebrating Sports Relief on Friday 28th March. We will be supporting the event by holding a non uniform day. We also have wrist bands on sale in the office for £1.00. All donations received will be forwarded to Sports Relief.

    2014 National Dispute over Revisions to Pay, Working Conditions and Pension Schemes

    On Wednesday 26th March the following classes will be CLOSED due to the above strike action and you will need to make alternative arrangements for your child/children if they are in one of those classes closed on that day.
    Classes closed on Wednesday 26th March 2014.
    Year 1
    Year 4
    All other classes will be open as normal.
  • World Book Day Part 2

    The whole school had a fantastic time on Friday celebrating world book day. There were some fantastic costumes on display in every classroom from super heroes to pirates, harry potter to 'wheres wally' as children celebrated their favourite characters. Every child was able to choose a book to take home, donated by the PTA. There was lots of fun to be had!
  • World Book Day

    We had a fantastic day on Wednesday celebrating 'World Book Day'. Two wonderful storytellers delivered art and drama workshops to all classes. The day was based around the book 'The Snorgh and the Sailor' by Will Buckingham. The children had a fabulous day and produced some great work. The children also received a free book.

  • Year 1 Sports Event

    On Wednesday 13th of March, 11th lucky Year 1 children were chosen to participate in a multi-skills event at Gateshead Leisure Centre.

     

    We took part in a variety of activities, from throwing to running, sprinting to jumping. I was amazed at how quick and energetic the children were!

     

    The 11 participants will each receive a certificate during celebration assembly on Friday.

  • World Book Day!

    We will be celebrating 'World Book Day' in school next week. The children will be taking part in the following:

    • Art and drama workshops led by staff from the Seven Stories
    • activities based around exciting stories
    • a dress up day on Friday 14th March - a prize will be awarded to the best dressed child from each class
    • Free book voucher for each child
    • Free book for each child ( courtesy of the PTA) 
  • Raffle Tickets on Sale Now

    'You've got to be in it to win it!'

    Raffle tickets are now on sale with some fabulous prizes up for grabs! The tickets are £1.00 each and the raffle will be drawn at the quiz night on Friday 14th March. Tickets are available from the school office now.

  • Marie Curie Fundraiser

    Well done to everyone involved in the fundraiser event held on Friday 14 Feb. We managed to raise an amazing £423.09 to be donated to Marie Curie. I hope everyone had fun joining in!

    Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. The website is extremely easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!
