Our School Council went on the annual visit to London at the beginning of this week.
They set off on the train, had breakfast at the station and then spent the next 2 days on a whistle stop tour of the big city.
They visited parliament and met up with Gateshead MP, Ian Mearns. They had a trip on the London Eye and a river boat cruise. They also got to see 'School Of Rock' in the West End.
We hope all of the children had a fantastic time. They have spent the last year representing their class mates and helping to make important decisions around school.
They were all amazingly well behaved on the trip - it was an absolute pleasure to take them and spend time with them making memories. One of those being a terrified Mr Wisby at the top of the London Eye!
The school council have been working with Mr Gray to gain a silver award for the rights and respecting schools by UNICEF.
We looked at children having the right to play. We raised money for Soccer Aid and participated in a day of mini football activities.
