Keep up to date with the latest news in school here.
We are still awaiting guidance from the government on providing supermarket vouchers to families who are entitled to free school meals. We will follow this scheme as soon as it is available.
Until we are able to provide vouchers, we will continue to offer packed lunches to free school meals families which can be collected from school.
Please contact the school office if you would like to order one (we are open 8am-3.15pm each day), or leave an answer phone message or message us directly on Facebook.
You can either order the day before or up to 9.30am on the day. We may be able to offer delivery if you are struggling to arrange collection.
At the moment, teachers are working hard to plan and teach their classes as well as create some home learning packs for the event of school closures. However, we do understand that there will be children who are required to be in isolation already due to virus symptoms. To help support you during this time, here are a list of useful websites that you can access at home which will allow children to revisit and consolidate some of their previously taught learning.

We have had a wonderful day here at Caedmon celebrating World Book Day.
The day started with our 'Reading Breakfast' where we were thrilled to see so many of you sharing stories with your children. The children then took part in a range of activities to celebrate Reading. One of which was designing and decorating their very own book bag. There were some amazing efforts and we look forward to seeing children using them!
Finally, we launched our 'Golden Book Bags' at the end of the day. These bags will come home with one child each week. The bag has some special treats so that the children can enjoy sharing a stories with adults at home.
Thank you for your continued support.
As part of our Number Day celebrations, all of the classes from Nursery to Year 6 took part in the Caedmon Code Breaker Challenge. The children were shocked to find Mr Wisby’s beloved treasure chest chained and locked in the hall….. keys hidden in books, secret messages written in UV pens and hidden codes were all on show in each of the classrooms. Thanks to fantastic team work, logical problem solving and a range of maths skills being used by all of the children, we were able to crack the code and save the day!
Thank you to everyone who attended our first ever Maths Breakfast on Friday 28th February. It was great to see all of the children and families enjoying the different maths themed activities and games on offer. There were lots of wonderful and creative number themed costumes and lots of happy faces! We are looking forward to next years event which will hopefully be another great success.
