  • Year 6 Nissan Visit

    At the start of this week, Year 6 were gifted a unique insight into the art of car manufacturing, thanks to the Nissan Monozukuri Caravan programme.

    During an interactive workshop the children learned about the automotive industry. As well as discovering what it takes to engineer and build a modern car, the children had a chance to design and build their own car and learn more about Japanese culture. Some children even received pictures drawn by the Nissan Robots! 

  • Year 4 Shipley Art Gallery Project

    Year 4 visited the Shipley Art Gallery to meet up with their buddies from our linking school St Peters. The children got to complete art activities with their new buddies including their dream place to live and sketches of artwork in the gallery. Also they played lots of communication games to find out more about our new friends! St Peters are going to be coming to Caedmon in the new year to continue to build upon their new friendships.
  • Cheerleading Success!

    The Cheerleading Team got the chance to perform at The Newcastle Eagles Basketball match on Friday 15 November. They represented the school really well and performed an amazing dance routine. The Eagles team were so impressed, the team have been invited back in the new year. Well done girls!
  • Remembrance Day

    Year 5 have been working hard to create remembrance postcards to honour those who bravely gave their lives in WW1, WW2 and more recent conflicts around the world. In partnership with Butterflies and Blooms the children's work was proudly displayed in the shop window on Coatsworth Road. The children were all thrilled to see their work on display and were rightly proud of the messages they produced.
  • Reading Breakfast

    We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our reading breakfast.

    We had a great turnout and the children enjoyed every second of being able to share their stories with parents.

    It was a great start to the day and we look forward to seeing you next time.

     

  • Caedmon Primary Newspaper is Coming!

    This afternoon, the Caedmon Primary School news team had a visit from The Chronicle newspaper. Hannah Graham, who is a reporter for The Chronicle, The Journal and The Chronicle Online, discussed her work as a journalist before sharing her tips and techniques for writing newspaper articles - advice that will come in handy for our budding young reporters as they busily prepare for the first edition of the new Caedmon Primary School newspaper. Watch this space!
