  • World Cup Music Workshop

Thu 19 Jun 2014 Mrs Bond

On Wednesday 18th June Caedmon hosted a ‘Worlds Cup’ themed music workshop for the children. The whole school were treated to a musical extravaganza that allowed the children to hear music from around the world but mainly from the host country Brazil. Some of our Year 6 children took on the role of news readers and reported upon world cup facts and information. Children were able to join in with singing and playing musical instruments alongside a live band! A fabulous time was had by all and the sporty theme got us all in the mood for our sports day on Friday!

  • More fun from Dukeshouse Wood!

Wed 04 Jun 2014 Mr Wisby

Day two at Dukes House wood easily matched day one for excitement. Yesterday's events included: A laser battle through the forest, aeroball based on trampolines, more zipwire fun, team challenge and finally, the disco!

All of the children have behaved in a manner that is a credit to themselves, their parents and Caedmon School. As Head Teacher I have never had so many complementary comments crammed into two days from all the adults who have worked with our children at the centre. Well done boys' and girls'. I am looking forward to the videos and pictures in your leaving assembly!

  • Year 6 Residential Mud Bath!

Tue 03 Jun 2014 Mrs Hooker

So far the children have taken part in the following activities: camp building and survival, wall climbing, orienteering, nightline (blindfolded in the mud), camp fire late last night before hot chocolate and lights out!

The muddy group picture is the end result of nightline. The children were then given orders by Mr Lancashire to get Mr Wynn! Mr Wynn was a great sport and covered in mud. After his third shower he finally got all the mud out of his ears!

Today children will complete: quad biking, Aeroball, Outdoor Laser, Zip Wire and finally a disco!

Everyone is having a great time!
