Last Friday Year 3 took the Metro to Newcastle and visited the Great North Museum. While there, they took part in a workshop looking at dinosaur fossils and species of dinosaurs that were once around before extinction. They also had some extra time to look around the museum and at the T-Rex. Thankfully it wasn't a real one!
Congratulations to our Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week. They've worked very hard and done themselves and their parents proud - well done to them all!
A couple of quick notices for Y6 parents:
Finally, thank you to Y6 parents for ensuring all of the children arrived at school on time each day this week to take advantage of our free breakfast club - this really helped the week run smoothly.

We will be offering more flexible arrangements for those entitled to the universal 15 hours, additional sessions for a small charge and 30 hours for those families who are entitled.
Please visit our admissions policy and application form page here for more information and if you wish to apply.
Here are the girls getting ready for the kick off of the Gateshead Football Finals!
The girls played amazingly well, conceding no goals in 4 out of their 6 matches.
We are really proud of their sportsmanship and achieving 4th place out of whole of Gateshead. Well done ladies!
School was taken over today by Rusty the Metro Gnome! Poor Mr Wisby lost his office as Rusty got settled in to do some work!
Rusty was at school to promote the Intu Metrocentre Fun Run which our children will be taking part in later this month in Saltwell Park.
There will be over 4500 children taking part in the run organised by Gateshead Schools Sports Partnership. They are hoping to break a world record for the largest children's fun run ever recorded.
Caedmon have taken part in the run every year since it started and we always have an amazing time.
Best of luck to everyone for this year and fingers crossed, Mr Wisby gets his office back sometime soon!
