  • Ian Mearns, Gateshead MP visits our School Council

Fri 30 Jun 2017 Mrs Hooker

Our School Council had a very important visitor today. They got to meet our Gateshead Local MP, Ian Mearns.

Ian was here to help teach the children about Parliamentary procedure. As he performs a similar job to them in helping improve the area and being elected into the role.

Ian took part in a question and answer session with the children and fielded some very important questions such as 'What is your greatest achievement?', 'Why did you become and MP?', 'What have you been involved in to improve Gateshead?' and 'Do you read Harry Potter?'
