Keep up to date with the latest news in school here.
Some of our confident mathematicians from Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a 'Real Life Maths' day with children from other local schools earlier this week.
Their task involved designing and selling a game, with the aim of maximising their profits. Two of our children actually managed to achieve the greatest profit margin out of all the groups of children there on the day, putting their problem solving skills to good use.
The children also had the chance to tackle some other types of Maths problems, involving abstract shape and calculating volume - something they were keen to share with us all when they got back to school.
Congratulations to all of our newly-elected school council members, introduced to the entire school in assembly this afternoon.
We're sure they will all do an excellent job when it comes to representing the views of other children and helping to make decisions that will improve our school for everyone.
Fancy winning theatre tickets for Mary Poppins, a kindle or a full set of books by a favourite author for your family? Then read on...
We hope as many children and families as possible will enter our fantastic 'Extreme Reading' competition with these tremendous prizes up for grabs!
To take part, submit a picture of your child (or your family) reading a favourite book in an unusual place. Whether you are visiting somewhere special over the coming weeks or if you just want to make use of the local parks or other public spaces, the only limit will be your imagination.
The contest closes on Friday 30th September. One entry per child and a bonus entry is allowed if it includes children in the family reading with mum/dad or carers. Submitted photos may be displayed in school. Photos must clearly show the children/family reading in an unusual place.
To enter, either send a private message to this page with the picture attached, email it to the main school address (provided below) or bring a print of the picture into school. Don't be afraid to be creative and good luck!

To celebrate what would have been Roald Dahl's 100th birthday, our school will be holding a special day to celebrate the hours of enjoyment his books still bring to children today.
This will take place on Friday 16th of September.
As part of these celebrations, we are inviting the children to come to school dressed as a character from one of Roald Dahl's books. We know this gives you a lot of choice so would encourage everyone to think about their favourites and be creative. Face paint and simple home-made costumes are more than welcome!
We are also fortunate to have an extremely talented illustrator, Liz Million, visiting us that day to work with the children and show them some of the tricks of the trade. It should be a great day...
