School Meals

Pupils must stay on the premises at lunchtime for either a school meal or a packed lunch.  Children can stay for school meals or packed lunch and can change their meal arrangements at any time.

Cooked meals are prepared on the premises and offer the children a wide variety of healthy foods. There is a vegetarian choice and halal choice each day.

Packed lunches are eaten in the dining room. Please do not send glass bottles.

From September 2014, all children attending school in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. From Year 3 onwards, school meals are chargeable.

The price of a school meal is £2.50 or £12.50 a week.  Dinner money can be paid for online through our parentpay account. You will be issued with a user name and password for this online payment system. Please contact the office if you haven't received log in details.

If you think you may be entitled to free meals, you can apply through Gateshead Council. There is an application form to complete below. Please note even if you do not wish to take up free school meals or your child is receiving an infant free meal, the fact that you are entitled brings more funding to the school. Please see below link to pupil premium funding for more information on how we spend this funding.
