Some of our confident mathematicians from Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a 'Real Life Maths' day with children from other local schools earlier this week.
Their task involved designing and selling a game, with the aim of maximising their profits. Two of our children actually managed to achieve the greatest profit margin out of all the groups of children there on the day, putting their problem solving skills to good use.
The children also had the chance to tackle some other types of Maths problems, involving abstract shape and calculating volume - something they were keen to share with us all when they got back to school.
