Caedmon Primary School Data Profile 2023

Since 2016, results of national curriculum tests (SATs) in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have been presented differently. In the new (current) system, data shows the number of children reaching what the government calls the expected standard. In Writing, this is achieved through teacher assessment of work; in all other subjects it is achieved through attaining a scaled test score of 100+. There is also a higher standard. Again, in Writing this is decided through teacher assessment; in the other subjects the child must secure a scaled score of 110+.

The progress measure for each year group indicates whether the children have made progress above average, below average or in line with national outcomes. A positive progress score indicates above average progress; negative scores indicate below average progress. A progress score of 0.0 would be perfectly in line with the national average.

The results below provide Caedmon's results, alongside the Gateshead and National averages for comparison.
