Across school today, we have been exploring and celebrating Windrush Day.
We discussed what the day is and why it is important to celebrate.
All children were asking great questions!
Yesterday, our school council visited local charity Feeding Families as part of our ongoing work with them.
They had a very important job to get ready for an exciting project we are taking part in this summer!
On Friday, we celebrated our annual Pride day. A day where we celebrate everyone's individuality, differences and unique qualities.
The children dressed to express themselves and took part in activities that celebrated what makes them special!
Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Kirkley Hall. We explored different types of trees in the forest and discovered why they are so important for the environment. Then, we visited the zoo, learned about various animals and their habitats. We also got to touch a snake and a gecko!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our early Father’s Day celebrations.
It was lovely seeing everyone spending quality time together playing games and enjoying some tasty treats!
Special shout out to Hannah’s dad for winning the crossbar challenge!
Before half term, our Year 6s had a stadium tour of St James' Park!
They explored the pitch from the stands, took a peek into the home and away dressing rooms and experienced the media centre firsthand. One of the highlights was definitely walking down the players' tunnel straight to pitc...
