Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon learning about local history with a visit from 'That History Bloke''. We found out about Peter Barrat, a coal miner, using census records to investigate his family, his job and what life was like in those days. We also enjoyed looking at and handling real coal mining artefacts, which helped bring our learning to life. A great way to learn more about our local heritage!
