Reception have been busy this week, getting into the full swing of phonics and daily tasks. We talked about our classs story, Starting School and thought about the initial sounds of words from the story - we even used our new handwriting to fill the gaps in our books. In Maths we have continued to explore number 1, 2 and 3 - we talked about the Numberblocks and their houses and did some investigations into where amounts can be hiding. 

In our creative room, we had some very special play dough to celebrate the start of Autumn after some children brought leaves they found dropped from the trees. Our dough had lots of autumn colours and smelled of chocolate, cinnamon and orange and we explored printing in the dough with pines cones, conkers, leaves and some teeny wooden mushrooms.
