In Year 3 we have been working incredibly hard in maths where we have been looking at a formal method for subtraction. Remembering all the steps has been difficult especially as we have been exchanging- but we have shown great resilience and tried really hard! Well done Year 3!  

Nursery had a fabulous time at Gateshead Central Library today. The children were very sensible walking to the session, listened brilliantly to the stories and were very respectful to others using the library. They really enjoyed the books and singing the action nursery rhymes.  

In literacy, Year 3 have been exploring inverted commas and where to place them in sentences. We used macaroni to represent inverted commas and tested our knowledge in pairs. We had lots of fun working together and exploring speech. We can't wait to use some in our future writing...
