Today we’ve been celebrating International Mother Tongue Day! Across school, we have been exploring the different languages and cultures in our classes and even had a go at learning different sayings! We’ve had so much fun celebrating each other!  

In Art this week Year 2 have been exploring primary colours. We looked at how adding different amounts of primary colours can impact the shade of the secondary colour produced.  

This morning Year 3 have enjoyed their PE session with Shay from Newcastle United Foundation. We played a series of matches and loved our warm ups too! We used all our skills and ideas from our sessions to help us today. Well done Year 3 and thank you Shay!  

Nursery filled the classroom with the delicious scent of freshly baked treats this week when they made gingerbread hearts. They worked together in small groups to follow the recipe, knead the dough and cut out heart shapes then popped them in to bake. Once ready, the children decorated the biscuits...

As part of their Evolution and Inheritance work in Science, Year 6 have been learning about Charles Darwin and his work on finches. They carried out a test to find out how different ‘beak’ shapes were adapted to different food sources!
