Year 5 have had a great year swimming at Gateshead Leisure Centre. They have practised their skills, learnt new strokes and all made lots of progress. Well done, Year 5!
A couple of weeks ago Nursery received a very special delivery of caterpillars. The children have enjoyed looking after then and watching them turn into beautiful butterfly. On Friday the children released them.
Year 5 had a fantastic morning at Kingsmeadow for a taster day. We got to experience a science lesson and explored using microscopes and slides. Here’s some photos of us as scientists!
On the final day the children did some souvenir shopping, a trip to Buckingham Palace and then a spot of Alfesco dining before boarding the train back!

Y6 started the morning with a buffet breakfast at the hotel, they had a walk to the river cruise followed by a trip on the London Eye. After a quick change of clothes they were straight back out again and off to McDonalds for tea before going to see Wicked.
After an early start Y6 arrived safely in London, dropped their bags off at the Hotel.
The first activity saw us go behind enemy lines at the Emirates(it was nowhere near as good as the mighty St. James’ Park).

Across school today, we have been exploring and celebrating Windrush Day.
We discussed what the day is and why it is important to celebrate.

Yesterday, our school council visited local charity Feeding Families as part of our ongoing work with them.
They had a very important job to get ready for an exciting project we are taking part in this summer!
On Friday, we celebrated our annual Pride day. A day where we celebrate everyone's individuality, differences and unique qualities.
The children dressed to express themselves and took part in activities that celebrated what makes them special!
Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Kirkley Hall. We explored different types of trees in the forest and discovered why they are so important for the environment. Then, we visited the zoo, learned about various animals and their habitats. We also got to touch a snake and a gecko!
