Proudly presenting our sculpture for this year’s St Oswald's Hospice art trail: Peter Rabbit A Northern Tale.

The children throughout school came up with some incredible ideas but a common theme that surfaced was their love of Gateshead. The final design drew inspiration from the mix of nature and city life with paintings of iconic local structures like Tyne Bridge, Baltic and Glasshouse mixed with the nature and wildlife of Gateshead’s thriving green spaces like Saltwell Park. Each class had a turn at painting part of the sculpture with some very dedicated and talented year 6 children giving their time to add the beautiful finer details.

Peter has been whisked off to join the fluffle of rabbits on the trail this summer. We will keep you posted when we find out exactly where to find him.
