A week in Year 2

We've had a busy week in the Year 2 classroom!

Year 2 brought history to life today by recreating the Rainhill trials by locomotive relay! It included “locomotive”breakdowns and overheating. The children discovered why George Stephenson’s rocket was the most reliable engine of 1829!

In D&T Year 2 used their knowledge we have developed on 3Ds shape strength and stability to begin our project of creating a chair for baby bear from the Goldilocks story.

Science this week was a fun task to create our own Top Trump cards based on the animals and their habitats we have been researching the last few weeks.

We ended the week with some lovely World Book Day activities.
