Our Student Council had a great idea to help us to look after our local area and have organised for our classes to take part in some regular litter picks in and around school.

Today Reception class got our initiative going and collected 3 bags of litter around school. We started by learning about the equipment and how to use them and how to stay safe while we were out and about.

We even helped each other to zip up our coats.

They used picking sticks and bags and great teamwork to find and collect the litter.

Great work Reception! The rest of the class will be out to find more tomorrow!
