Y6 Victoria Tunnels trip

🕰️ Year 6 step back in time! 🕰️

As part of their WW2 history topic, Year 6 visited the Victoria Tunnels in Ouseburn – an incredible 2.5 miles of tunnels stretching beneath Newcastle! ⛏️

The children learned what life would have been like sheltering underground during air raids in WW2 and really impressed us with their curiosity and thoughtful questions. 💭

A real highlight of the day was a special Q&A workshop with 87 year old Miriam, who was evacuated as a child during the war. Hearing her first-hand experiences brought history to life in a powerful and unforgettable way. ❤️

A fantastic and memorable learning experience for our Year 6 pupils!
