The Lion King Roars Successfully!

Thursday 26th June saw Caedmon Primary School turn into Africa’s Serengeti when KS2 performed ‘The Lion King’. The children sung and acted spectacularly to a sell out crowd!

Hannah Marshall kicked off the show singing her amazing rendition of ‘The Circle of Life’ as all the animals came onto the stage. Jake, Carlyanne and Emily went on to entertain the audience with ‘The Morning Report’ and ‘I just can’t wait to be king’. Bradley perfected his ‘Roar’ as he took on the role of Mufasa and scared away the slobbering hyenas!

The second act showed the darker side of the animal’s characters with Kelsha, as Scar, performing ‘Be prepared’. Mr Wisby described this as “Batman the dark knight rises meets Lion King” as the children got into role and scared the audience with their super acting! The fight scene between Scar and Simba (played by Noel) brought the show to its crescendo and all of the children were once again on stage and singing their hearts out.

Every child in KS2 took part to make the show a ‘Roaring’ success!
