This is the Bill Brydon trophy for excellence in Physical Education.
Bill was a Governor at Caedmon School until ill health meant he felt he could no longer complete his role to the excellent level he did over the years. Bill's wife Kath donated money to the school after his funeral.

We thought a fitting tribute to Bill was to name an award in his name based around sport. Each year a child from each year group in school is awarded the trophy for their efforts in P.E and Sport.
Who will be this years winners? Only 6 months to impress your teachers with your sporting efforts!
We have many awards at Caedmon. Children work very hard everyday to achieve them. You can see who has achieved awards each week by looking at the display in the main entrance of school or look in the school newsletters.
Here are the awards that can be won at Caedmon: Power Of The Letter (Head Teachers personal letter to parents of children who have been outstanding), Champion Child (awarded for being a role model to all), Politness & Manners (awarded for good politness and manners), Shakespeare's Pencil (awarded for excellent written work), Scientist of the week (outstanding Science work), Mathemagician (excellent Maths work), Artist of the week (awarded for amazing Art work) and Helpfulness Award (awarded for being helpful), ICT Wizard (great work on computers), Champion Chum (awarded for being a great friend) and Performance Award (awarded for performing arts).
There is now a special Head Teachers Award! This can be won by a pupil(s) who are awarded all of the above awards in their time at Caedmon! Some children are very close and are only missing a few awards. Who will be the first pupil to be awarded this ultimate accolade?
