This has been set up through the Surestart Centre and takes place every Monday afternoon from 1.30 til 2.30pm in the main hall.
The sessions include games, music and stories that are designed to help your child build confidence and have fun at the same time.The sessions also teach the children about their bodies and the importance of being fit and healthy. Respect and social skills begin to grow as they learn to take turns, share and make friends.
Parents are encouraged to come along and participate with their child in these fun filled activities. If you would like to know more please contact either Miss Hanratty in nursery or Mrs McVicar in the main school. The sessions are open to allpreschool children (even if they do not attend our school).

Parents and carers of Year 2 and 3 children will be recieving a letter after the Easter holidays explaining in more detail about our next round of Family Learning activities.
The workshops will start Wednesday 9th June (9-11am) and will continue for 5 weeks. Within the workshops parents and carers will have the opportunity to learn some simple skills which will help your child develop their reading ability. We will aslo be showing both you and your child some easy to use activities in our ICT suite. These activities are all fun and you do not need to know much about computers as we will all be learning together.
This is a perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your child whilst helping them learn at the same time. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

This has been going on for well over a year now and has made a huge difference to so many children in our school.
In addition to this, we have been lucky enough to have sixth formers from Joseph Swan and Emmanuel College coming in every week to listen to our children read and play games with them. So thanks too to all of the students and staff who have helped make this such a success. All of the hard work has really paid off as the children are gaining confidence in their reading every week.
Any parents/grandparents/carers who would like to come in and spend a few hours a week listening to children read would be more than welcome (please ask in the office for a CRB form or come in and we can have a chat!).
