We are starting to paint one of the staircases in school. We have decided to have a theme based around all the years Caedmon has been open. We are painting something on the wall that represents something that happened in the north east in all the years the school has been here.

We have many ideas already for significant events that happened in the region or achievements of famous people from the local area. We are missing a few dates and need your help. If you do have any ideas for any of the missing dates please let us know by e-mail or coming into school with your idea.

The dates we have events for are as follows:

1994 - Caedmon School opens!
1995 -
1996 - Paul Gascoigne scores wonder goal in Euro 96 at Wembley against Scotland.
1997 -Tony Blair is appointed Prime Minister.
1998 - Angel of The North is finished.
1999 -
2000 - Millennium Bridge.
2001 -
2002 - Jonathan Edwards wins gold medal to hold all four golds in the major athletics events
2003 -
2004 - Sage is completed and opened.
2005 - Saltwell Towers at Saltwell Park re-opened.
2006 - Alan Shearer breaks Jackie Milburn's goal scoring recore for Newcastle United.
2007 -

2009 - Newcastle United relegated?
