The Friends of Caedmon continue to organise great events for the children at Caedmon. The recent Valentines Disco was a great success and we would like to thank all those parents who made it happen.
Since this group started we have a few new classes in the school. These being the present Nursery Class, Reception Class and Year One. If any parents in these classes want to join this group please come and see me or a member of staff and we will guide you to parents who are already members of this group.
Look out for even more events being organised in the future!

Aims of the Group
• To support the school in delivering fun activities for the children.
• To provide resources for the school that help deliver in school and out of school
activities.
• To build strong relationships between all members of the school community.
• To support the school in its work.
• To work closely with the school council to arrange activities to enhance the provision
at Caedmon.
CRB Clearance
• It has been agreed by the Governing Body of Caedmon Primary School that all
members of this group need to be CRB cleared.
Roles and Responsibilities
• It has been decided that the following posts of responsibility will be held in this
group. Chair Person, Vice Chair Person and Treasurer.
Following School Procedures
• The group has agreed to follow all school procedures and to uphold rules that govern
the school. Members of this group will address all members of staff by their
surnames.
• They will not enter rooms where teaching is taking place.
• They will always run correspondence through the school office before it is sent out.
Confidentiality
• Any new member of the group must be given this guide by the Head Teacher and
given guidance on confidentiality.
• All members of the group will be in school at some point and will be exposed to
confidential matters including low level information about children.
• Any concern parents have about something in school should be referred to the
Head Teacher and not discussed anywhere else.
Meetings and Lettings
• Meetings will take place on the school premises by arrangement with the school
office.
• When there is an event taking place at school the FOC will be making an official
letting for the premises.
Best Value and Financial Monitoring
• Friends of Caedmon will always follow Best Value Principles.
• They will have their accounts audited in line with the Local Authority's Regulations.
