Welcome to Year 6
What the children say…
We have great teachers. They teach us new things and help us out when we get stuck. They meet our needs in our times of need!
In year 6 we learn lots of new stuff as well as revising all the things we learned in previous years, so we are prepared for our S.A.T.S.
Our teachers organise lots of really good activities for us, both in school and out of school on trips. We also have lots of interesting visitors coming into school to teach us and show us stuff.
Lots of new children have joined our school because we are very welcoming, pleasant and exciting.
On Fridays, the school has a celebration assembly where the teachers congratulate and reward us for our excellent work and outstanding behaviour.

Technology: Making Masks
We designed and produced our own Masquerade masks using lots of different materials.
We have displayed them in our Art space in the hall
Science
We are taking part in the ‘Primary Electronics Project’ in partnership with Emanuel college.
This year we will be working around the theme of “Generating Power�. Our designs are at a very early stage and we will be working more on them after we have done our SATS.

Literacy
We have done lots of work in class based on William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. We have written play scripts, love letters from one character to another (see below), character profiles, story re-tells, leaflets, posters, and a biography of ‘The Bard’ himself.

I WISH I NEVA HAD TO NEVER HAD TO LEAVE THAT SCHOOL I THINK MR WISBY WAS THE BEST TEACHER BUT I LIKED MISS KING WAS WICKED ANALL COZ SHE WAS MY FIRST TEACHER IN THT SCHOOL IN YEAR 2 AND SHE LOOKED AFTER ME VERY WELL AND I REALLY MISS YOU ALL LOVE LISA ROWAN X X X

i really love that school even though i was there for two years it was the best primary school eva i remember when mr wisby dressed up as a gorilla and frightened my sister chelsea miss you all joanne walker xXx

I would go back to Caedmon anyday. I thought I wanted to go to secondary school but now that I'm nearlly in Year 10 and nearlly finished secondary school I realise how fast the time has gone and I miss Caedmon loads. Was there from Nursery all the way up to Year 6, and I will never forget it! Most of the teachers at my school are always moody and stuff, miss all the teachers from Caedmon. :) x
